Michelle is a DUI defense author and speaker across the country. She is a law graduate of the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. Michelle participated actively in the Veteran’s Advocacy Clinic throughout her time in law school, acting as the defense attorney for low-income veterans accused of misdemeanors. The Law School Faculty chose Michelle to submit an amicus curiae brief (on behalf of the defendant) to the Federal Court of Appeals for the U.S. Armed Forces, the nation’s highest military court, as a result of her fervent advocacy on behalf of veterans.
Michelle was employed by the Tucson City Public Defender’s Office as an Assistant Public Defender after receiving her degree. She has argued in multiple evidence and court hearings concerning a wide range of legal topics, and she has tried multiple cases for juries. Michelle received the 2015 Tucson Women’s Commission Rising Star Award in recognition of her achievements.
