Kevin C. Ford
My origins are fairly simple. My father had played football graduated at/from the University of Notre Dame and married his high school sweetheart before serving his country in the U.S. Army in Germany. Upon their return to Michigan, I was born several years later in the mid-1960s. As a Midwesterner, I have a tendency and proclivity toward hard work. During law school, I had the opportunity to interact with former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor which was an intellectual thrill for me! I started my law career defending hospitals, doctors, nurses, surgeons and similar health care providers in Wisconsin. Consequently, I developed my litigation skills at a high-level medical malpractice boutique law firm. In the early nineties, I relocated from Wisconsin to Atlanta, Georgia on the advice of a fellow attorney/friend from Ohio for better weather and opportunity. I have never regretted that decision. My first legal position was in international corporate governance for a Fortune 500 company in Atlanta. The people were great and the job was intellectually rewarding; however, such work did not lead to trying cases in front of juries which was the main goal. I later accepted an associate position in personal injury litigation in Atlanta with an experienced attorney and worked in that capacity for 4-5 years. I decided to hang my shingle and opened my legal practice in 1999. My interest is in the practice areas of auto/truck collisions, premises liability, wrongful death, personal injury and dog bite litigation. I have been practicing law since 1992 and I look forward to representing my clients before juries in trials throughout the State of Georgia. On a personal note, my wife and I have two young boys who keep us busy throughout the year at church/school; I help coach their football, basketball, baseball and soccer teams and donate to Project Pinball which places pinball machines in Ronald McDonald houses and Children’s Hospitals in Atlanta.
