Rand William Lucey

Partner Rand W. Lucey focuses on criminal cases in the state of Maryland and practices DUI law in Rockville. Every day, he appears in Maryland’s Circuit and District Courts on behalf of clients accused of a wide range of felonies and significant traffic offenses. Mr. Lucey has tried two first-degree murder cases in front of juries as a criminal defense attorney. 2010 saw Mr. Lucey persuade Maryland’s highest court to consider an appeal of an MVA case where his client was refused the right to legal representation. He then appeared before the highest court in the state to plead that issue with Mr. Jezic. Additionally, Rand Lucey has a prosperous coram nobis and post-conviction practice, helping individuals who are facing immigration repercussions or other unintended effects of crime through a coram nobis petition, criminal defense attorneys Lucey and Andrew Jezic persuaded a Howard County Circuit Court Judge in 2010 to award their client, who had pled guilty to killing her boyfriend in 1994, a new trial.
