An American criminal defense association is called the National Association of Criminal Defence Lawyers (NACDL).
Members include judges, law professors, public defenders, private criminal defense attorneys, current U.S. military defense attorneys, and defense attorneys in foreign criminal tribunals.
In light of the renewed War on Drugs, stricter prosecution guidelines, and more criminalization of immigrants, it is more crucial than ever to join the NACDL. NACDL members contribute to the support of the only national organization that advocates on behalf of the defense bar at all levels of government.

Mr. Khojayan graduated from the University of the Pacific with a J.D. with honors. He has led numerous intricate federal felony trials, the majority of which have not-guilty findings. In the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Mr. Khojayan has also prepared and argued appeals, winning the overturning of many convictions. Mr. Khojayan has been a lifelong member of both the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the National Association of Criminal Defence Lawyers.
Since 1979, Philip has been in private practice, serving as a district attorney for 16 of those years. In addition to managing numerous military cases during his years of duty with the Navy JAG Corps, He is a former judge.
